Welcome to the Maryland Chapter of the American Planning Association's Website. Our mission is to make great communities happen in Maryland by offering continuing professional development and other valuable services to our members that will enable them to excel in their practice. We advocate for excellence in planning, promoting education and citizen empowerment, and providing our members with the tools and support necessary to meet the challenges of growth and change. We hold a bi-annual conference, produce a quarterly newsletter, offer continuous opportunities to network, and experience new and varied educational opportunities across the state.

Transportation Research Board 97th Annual Meeting

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 97th Annual Meeting will be held January 7–11, 2018, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C. The information-packed program is expected to attract more than 13,000 transportation professionals from around the world.

The meeting program will cover all transportation modes, with more than 5,000 presentations in nearly 800 sessions and workshops, addressing topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. A number of sessions and workshops will focus on the spotlight theme for the 2018 meeting: Transportation: Moving the Economy of the Future.

The full 2018 program is available online now via the Interactive Program and the mobile app. You can see detailed information about more than 800 sessions and more than 500 committee and subcommittee meetings—viewing them chronologically or searching just for those with a specific subject category or key word.

In addition, you can view curated session charts that provide representative samplings of sessions for attendees with various specific interests. 

Registration is required for all Annual Meeting attendees.
