2017 MPCA OUTREACH PROJECT
The Maryland Planning Commissioners Association's Outreach (MPCA) project kicked-off on Friday, June 2 at the Maryland APA Conference in Annapolis. MPCA, in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Planning, will conduct the effort over the Summer of 2017 with an online survey and a series of seven regional focus group meetings throughout the state.  Please see the info here.

We advocate for excellence in planning, promoting education and citizen empowerment, and providing our members with the tools and support necessary to meet the challenges of growth and change. We hold a bi-annual conference, produce a quarterly newsletter, offer continuous opportunities to network, and experience new and varied educational opportunities across the state.

Downtown Baltimore Trolley Tour: Past, Present, and Future Tour

Join APA Maryland for a trolley tour of downtown Baltimore! The tour will take us through multiple downtown neighborhoods while highlighting the City’s role in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Industrial Revolution. It will also include a discussion on the preservation of historic architecture, monuments, and waterfront neighborhoods.

The tour will begin and end in the parking lot in front of the Wine Market. The trolley will leave promptly at 6pm to begin the two-hour tour. Refreshments will not be provided during the tour, but are allowed on the trolley. An informal happy hour at the Wine Market will follow the tour.

Note to AICP members: This is intended to be a fun event and CM credits will not be awarded. MD APA members and non- MD APA members are encouraged to attend.
